Bobby The Box
I’m Bobby the box – and I’m made from cardboard!
Did you know, paper and cardboard make up 20% of what’s in your recycling bin? When you’re finished with me I want to be recycled and that’s because I can change into all sorts of fantastic things! I can be recycled into new cardboard items, such as books, cereal boxes, paperboard, paper towels, tissues and printing or writing paper. I can’t wait to begin my next adventure!
Don’t forget to fold me up, pop me in your recycling bin or bring me down to your local recycling centre when you are finished with me, because when you recycle me I can begin my new life as anything I want, so make sure to recycle and change for the better.

When you’re finished with me I want to be recycled, and that’s because I can change into all sorts of fantastic things.
Just like me, aluminium can be recycled into a lot of different things, such as tractor trailer, or a car – I might even come back as another can - the best thing is aluminium can be recycled forever and ever, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for me!
When you’re done with me, ask an adult to help scrunch me up, and pop me in the recycling bin, then I can begin my new life as anything I want! Always remember to recycle and change for the better, and if you’d like to learn more about me, you can watch my video here!

Contamination
Hi! We’re Contaminated! That means we weren’t rinsed, cleaned or washed before we were put into the recycling bin – which means we won’t get to be recycled into something new! When we try to turn into something fantastic and new, the recycling process doesn’t work how it’s mean to, and we go to waste! So don’t forget, when you are done with us, treat us properly. Before you put us in the recycling bin or bring us to the recycling centre, make sure we are clean and dry, so we can begin our new life just like our friends! Watch our video for more information on avoiding contamination!
