Recycle just 1 more item everyday

Recycle just 1 more item everyday

Over 100,000 people are expected at Bord Bia Bloom this year. If each of us simply recycled one just one more item everyday, that small action would blossom into a massive 36.5 MILLION more items in a single year that's the equivalent of 28 GAA pitches! Visit Repak’s Most Sorted Garden at Bloom and discover easy ways you can make a difference. One extra item. One huge impact.

Remember clean, dry and loose!

Remember clean, dry and loose!

It' simple, think clean, dry and loose when you recycle! Our research revealed that 79% of people are aware of this recycling rule but 1 in 5 don’t dry items, and 3 in 10 still use bin liners. Let's get sorted together and support the circular economy.

Top Tips for Recycling

  • Think clean, dry and loose

To make sure we're being as sustainable as possible, let's think about reusing packaging first. If an item can't be reused, then we can put it in the recycling bin. Make sure items are clean, dry and loose before recycling!

  • You don’t have to remove the labels and lids.

You can leave these on your recyclables as they will be removed in the recycling process.

  • Clothes or shoes should not be placed into your recycling bin.

Clothes or shoes should not be placed into your recycling bin, or indeed your general waste bin. If you can’t reuse clothing, bring it to charity shops or dedicated clothes banks for recycling.
