  • To apply visit www.pakman.ie
  • Repak Recycling Week runs from October 19th, with the Pakman Awards being held the evening of October 22nd in the Shelbourne Hotel

The Pakman Awards, powered by Repak, are a new national awards programme and are being proudly sponsored by The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, The Irish Waste Management Association, ERP, Arthur Cox and other leading organisations.

The Pakman Awards are a new addition to Repak Recycling Week and are set to be one of the highest accolades that any organisation, business, community group or individual can achieve in waste management and recycling. This marks a significant change in the direction for Repak whose awards were previously only open to its members and recovery operators. Now any organisation who can demonstrate their environmental efforts can enter.

There will be one overall prestigious award, The Pakman Award, which will be presented on the night at the Shelbourne Hotel on the 22nd October. This award is applicable to each winner from the 11 categories and will be judged on the basis of their outstanding contribution in their environmental and sustainability efforts.

“After 15 very successful years of the Repak Recycling Awards, we wanted to make these awards accessible to all organisations who can demonstrate their sustainability and environmental efforts,” said Seamus Clancy, CEO, Repak. “We want to make the awards more inclusive and show case the innovation and accomplishments of Irish organisations, communities or individuals when it comes to excellence in recycling and waste management. The Pakman Award will single out one winner as setting the highest standard when it comes to their environmental initiatives.
