We have teamed up with football heroes Paul McGrath and Jack Byrne for the launch of our new Snapchat game ‘Team Green Recyclemania’. We are currently promoting the game across Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and on our website.
The aim of the game is to put the right thing in the right bin and we hope that this game will act to as a fun an easy way to educate the public on the importance of putting the right thing in the right, as each year up 30% of what goes into the recycling bin is considered contamination, for example nappies and grass.
In the game each player is provided with three bins - recycling, general waste and food waste, and is given a set of everyday items such as water bottles, teabags or crisp packets to flick into the correct bin. For every item you put in the right bin you get 100 points but if you put an item in the wrong bin, 50 points are deducted from your overall score. Show us you are a recycling expert with a score of 1000 or more, sign up to Team Green, and you could be in with the chance to win a €100 One4All voucher. There are six vouchers up for grabs and each week we will announce a winner through our social media channels.
